Introduction: Jr. NBA Philippines presented by Hi-Smart Multivitamins returns to the Philippines for the third consecutive year with a more extensive program. This year, the leading youth basketball program goes beyond NCR and Visayas, and expands to Davao, reaching over 300 schools nationwide.

The program is open for boys aged 12 to 14 years old for free and approximately 30,000 students, parents, and coaches will be benefited from the program.

Jr. NBA is composed of three stages, including School Program, Regional Selection Camps and the National Training Camp. The best eight campers of the National Training Camp will be selected as the Jr. NBA Philippine All-Star Team and rewarded with an unforgettable NBA experience.

Jr. NBA was introduced in the Philippines in 2007. In 2008, the program expanded from 16 schools to more than 200, reaching approximately 20,000 students, parents, and coaches across the country.

Program Contents:

Stage 1: Jr. NBA School Program (January 16 to February 28, 2010):

 Jr. NBA Head Coach Frank Lopez will conduct Coaches Clinics for local coaches in Manila, Cebu and Davao.
 Instructional materials and kits will be distributed to the participating schools for their students aged 12-14 years old and their parents.
 Local coaches will conduct the Jr. NBA program within their schools, respectively.
 School Tryouts will also be conducted in selected schools in each city.
 Open Clinics will also be conducted by Jr. NBA-appointed coaches in Manila to support the school activities.
 In addition to basketball exercises, the Open Clinics will also include seminars on fitness, nutrition, hydration, as well as positive parental involvement.

Stage 2: Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camps (March 7 to 21, 2010):

 Regional Selection Camps will be conducted in Cebu (March 7), Davao (March 14) and Manila (March 21).
 A total of 300 kids, registered on a first come-first serve basis, will be participating in each camp.
 All players need to participate in different skills stations.
 A total of 40 campers (10 from Cebu, 10 from Davao and 20 from Manila) will be selected to the Jr. NBA National Training Camp based on their performance.

Stage 3: Jr. NBA National Training Camp (April 16 to 18, 2010):
 The Top 40 young basketball players from across the country will get a chance to participate in the 3-day camp.
 The camp will be hosted by Frank Lopez.
 The best eight campers will be selected to form the Jr. NBA Philippine All-Star Team.
