Police Regional Office XI edged the Davao City Police Office, 69-68 and the City Mayor's Office doused off cold water on the Bureau of Fire Protection, 91-69 to arrange a title showdown in the 5th RRD-AFP/PNP Basketball Tournament at the Davao City Recreation Center.
PRO XI exploited DCPO's absence of a go-to-go guy in the dying minutes to secure the win.
The CMO had a different story as the squad found the chemistry to defeat BFP by 22 points over the weekend.City Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go pumped in six three-point shots out of his 29 total points to lead CMO to victory.
CMO rallied stronger in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Firemen, 20-8.
Game 1 of the finals will be played this afternoon, Tuesday, December 18, at 5 p.m.
28th Infantry Battalion and 10th Infantry Division will meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, for the 7th and 8th places while 22nd Company collides with Regional Mobile Group at 6:30 p.m. for the 5th and 6th places of the tournament presented by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
