Execs beat Liga in Friendship Game, 112-99
The City Hall Executives beat Liga ng Barangay, 112-99 in a friendship game last Sunday at the Davao City Recreation Center.
Christopher "Bong" Go pumped in 31 points to led the charge for the Executives who were leading majority of the game.
The sweet-shooting executive assistant of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte hit short jumpers one after the other in the early going before waxing hot in the second half, drilling in three pointers from various angles.
Lawyer Joseph Felizarta and Dr. Allan Galvez chipped in 24 and 12 points respectively for the Executives who pulled away in the second quarter.
The barangay leaders bounced back in the third canto behind Brgy. Panacan chairman Arnulfo Apostol and Brgy. San Antonio chief Roger Galido.
But Executives made a final push in the pay off period to seal the victory.
Apostol poured in 18 points while Galido had 12.

Executives take 2 - 0 lead over Legislative
Christopher" Bong" Go, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte's executive assistant, scored 10 of his total 30 points in the pivotal second period where the Executives staged a mighty run for good.
Highlighted with sweet-shooting Go's two triples, the Executives outscored the Legislators, 32 - 19 to take a 57 - 47 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Ryan Alquizar, Eugene Labor and Roy Bangkas chipped in 19, 14 and 13 markers respectively to help the Executives move closer to another title.
The Legislative came out hot early taking a 28 - 25 advantage after the opening canto.
But the Exectuives strong showing in both ends of the floor took the balance and rhytm out of the Councilors Diosdado Mahipus and Dante Apostol led Legislative.
Vincent Plarisan scored 27 points for the Legislative which failed to recover after being downed and absorbed their second straight loss in the series.
Go continued to sizzle hot in the third period, adding 15 points on his remarkable output in the first twenty minutes of play.

Executives finish off Legislators, 100-97
City sports coordinator Christopher “Bong” Go started with a big bang by drilling in five three-point shots in the first quarter, sending another message that the Executives were out to capture another season title.
The Legislators could not find the needed points and went behind by 10 points in the first canto only to spark in the fourth quarter as they outscored their rivals, 38-20.
The Executives, however, re-grouped just in time to keep the Legislators from trailing and escaped with just a three-point victory.

Executives dominate 15th Season
The City Executives shrugged off a slow start in the first half to take Game 5, 91-76 and finish the Executive-Legislative Basketball Tournament-15th Season, four games to one, against the Legislators, recently, at the Davao City Recreation Center.
The Legislators took the early lead, 49-42, but the Executives gained momentum at the start of the third quarter and outscored their rivals more in the fourth canto, 30-15 when city sports coordinator Christopher “Bong” Go dropped five three-point shots out of his 25 total points.
Jilliard de Guzman led the Legislators with 34 points but his teammates could not contribute the needed big points to extend the series.

Go ignites, Executives force Game 7
So intense it was as Game 6 ended in double overtime and the Executives tied the series at 3-3, via a 119-118 victory, bouncing from the 105-112 setback in Game 5.
City Sports Coordinator Christopher “Bong” Go scored nine straight points including a clutch three-pointer in the second extra period that set the tone and crushed the fighting hearts of the Legislators.
The Legislators could have wrapped up the game and annexed the Season 14 crown but Go and the Executives fought as if there was no tomorrow.
The Legislators outscored the Executives in the second half with Aldrin Casado leading the scoring charge by canning in 13 of his 25 points but Go and Ariel Bonleon quickly responded to catch up with their rivals.
“I think I just lucky with my shots. But we expect the Legislators to fight back, very hard, in Game 7,” said Go.

Legislators down Executives, 112-105 in OT
lead the Legislators past the Executives, 112-105 in overtime in Game 5 of the
Executive-Legislative Basketball Tournament Season 14 at the Davao City Recreation Center.
Aldrin Casado was a big help when he contributed 33 baskets.
Arthur Caminade sent the game into over time when he picked the the loose ball and found
himself open for a clear shot, 95-95.
City Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go had another off night with only five three-pointers and coming up with a double-digit figure only in the fourth quarter. But he led the Executives with 32 points.
The Legislators lead the series, 3-2 and Game 6 is scheduled on Friday.

Executives disappoint Legislators anew, 115-113
But lady luck was again not on their side when the Executives disappointed them, 115-113 in Game 2, Friday night.
City Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go canned in 12 points in the third quarter and added 12 more in the fourth quarter with Gerald Acojedo helping with eight more points to escape with a two-point win.
The Legislators posted an early lead in the first quarter, 24-23 but started to slow down in the second canto. They tried to stage a big comeback in the final quarter but the Executives responded with Jem Brian Alquizar, Roan Abasolo, Melchor Gadiano, Roy Bangkas and Acojedo contributing the needed score to keep the Legislators at bay.
Go bounced back from a dismal performance in Game 1 wen he fired only 20 points but the Executives were able to beat the Legislators, 90-74.

Executives sweep 13th Season, 4-0
The Executives built a comfortable lead, 29-13 then continued working for more points in the second quarter with Go exiting the game by contributing 20 points, highlighted by four three-point shots.
Roy Bangkas, Roan Abasolo, Jem Brian Alquizar, Mansil Basilio and Melchor Gadiano rose to the occasion in the absence of their main shooter to keep the Legislators trailing.
